Sondra Rankin
Meet Sondra Rankin, a professional tournament angler, a country singer, a goodwill ambassador, a role model citizen, a mentor, an outdoors woman, and ... on top all that, a single mom. Sondra was born in Paducah, Kentucky and presently resides in Nashville, TN. along with her 6 year old daughter Faith Noelle.
April 26 Update ...
Sondra Rankin and her crew went to Iraq last March 2009 on a 10 day tour visiting the US Troops. Their mission ? It was "Operation Catch Fish", which involved hosting a casting competition, a fishing tournament, and singing the national anthem, ... all for the support of our Troops.
First, let me tip my hat to the US Troops where ever they are stationed. I am humbled by their dedication to serve and the risks they take every day. And secondly, ... I'll certainly tip my hat to Miss Rankin for her willingness to travel and show her support. This April Outdoor Girl truly is one impressive young lady. Sondra, as a good will ambassador leads by example and inspires me to reach out and do more. We can help on a local level or national, but we all need to help in any way we can. So, thanks Sondra for being a leader.

Sport fishing and the outdoors peaked her interest at a very early age. She recalls those memorable early childhood memories as a young girl with her daddy, who taught her all the basic skills.
Today, ... Sondra is a professional Bass Tournament angler with the FLW tour, the most prestigious Bass circuit in America today. Sondra is also proud to be the "Well Youth Director" for the Fishing for Kids Foundation.
Now, ... if that's not enough ... She will also host a Reality Fishing Show called ... " Turn up the Bass, ... with Sondra Rankin" which is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2010 ! See, ...
