Second Amendment Day ...
What a day !
This view, ...  is from the balcony of Ridge View Winery. It's located near Mt. Sterling, IL. Learn more at ...  www.ridgeviewwinery.com

Fun was happening all day ... with door prizes, gun raffles, food, drinks, and great people everywhere. Here, ... owner Larry Hanold enjoys a hug from future Outdoor Girl ... Miss Toni. This place was awesome. Nestled in the "Little Ozarks" of Central Illinois ... Ridge View is the perfect place to gather for any event. This multi-level Winery is truly a fantastic place. Really, you'll want to go there. If you are traveling,  mark your calendar and save a day to relax here one Sunday afternoon. You'll be glad you did.

Inside, ... at the Second Amendment day event, ... Ed Hendricks was greeting the folks and handing out the door prize tickets. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Ed. He called me inviting me to come, display my work. I'm sure glad he did. This event was awesome. The turn out was unbelievable. I'd love to know the total ... but hundreds of fine people showed up showing support for our Rights to Bear Arms. We all do need to voice our concerns, stand together and show our Local, State, and National Government, ... we are many. Our rights are being challenged and we can not compromise. Thanks again to Ed Hendricks not only for inviting me, ... for his hard work.

Here, I do my best to answer this young man's questions.

Long time friend and ... "Turkey Hunting Buddy"  The SLEDGE and his beautiful wife Debbie stop by to say hi. ( can you tell I'm trying to woo my way for 2010 Spring Turkey Hunt ? )

Another long time friend ... "Double fisted Scott" drops by for a nice chat.

Here, ... my cousin that I can never forget swings by. That's Rick Anthony !

Jamie Rench and "The Coolest Kid there" stops by too. Jamie needs a big THANK YOU as well. He worked hard to make this event the success it was.

I know so many people worked hard, and I'll miss most. But, Mark Mountain and Jim Logston are two more great guys that made this happen. Jim is against the wall facing the camera with the dark cap. Mark is shaking hands facing the camera. I know Wayne Mountain and my Father, Jim McDaniel  played a huge part in mine and Mark's lives regarding hunting and the outdoors. Thanks Dad.

These two, ... I'll just call them  ..."The Beer Police"  and "The Classy Redneck". Oh, ...  to be a young, big strong dude again.

This gentleman is Harry Canterbury editor/owner of ASO Magazine. That's Adventure Sports Outdoors. www.asomagazine.com . It was a honor to meet Harry. I've heard a lot about him and was pleased to see him there too.

I've got to remind myself not to let Rick loose with my camera. But I will say, Rick was great all day. He kept a steady supply of beer coming, food, and he even helped me bring in the display along with some great guys helping at the start of the day.  Thanks Rick and committee guys !

Buddy Boomer and his wife ... and my "FUTURE HOPEFUL OGW" stops by to say hello. If you think Toni would make a great Outdoor Girl, let me know.

This little darling stopped in for a visit and I'm glad she did. It's none other than Lisa Wagner. She was a delight to visit with and an honor to meet. She comes from a hunting family, ... maybe a future Outdoor Girl is standing before me ? Well, ... she certainly has a standing invitation.

Having the first booth at the doors allowed me to simply snap photos at will. Dave Ferrell poses for a photo and a nice visit. Thanks Dave for stopping by.

Here is a shot of the crowd that continued to flow in all afternoon.

These three lovely ladies worked hard all day too. And were great sports, ...  as my booth faced them and I was snapping photos all afternoon.

I grabbed these three gals for a photo of the Deer display and my portable bar I brought.

Rick and I took photos all afternoon and this slide show is full of the crowd and the fun. Thanks Rick for grabbing the camera and helping out!

This young lady stopped in for a visit and I tried my best to convince her she would make a great Outdoor Girl of the Week. Don't you agree ?

She even smiles, ...  slightly leaning towards agreeing ?

We all cracked up with laughter in the end.

Outside ... the band was playing and fun continued !

And the BAND played while BOOM cut it up !

With that ... I think you can see the fun we had. The Ridge View Winery was a special place and I know my wife and I are going back. Larry Hanold was a pleasure to meet, he took the time to chat and visit throughout the day. I'll mention one more time, thanks again to Ed Hendricks for twisting my arm. Ed, ... you can count me in for your next event. And finally, ... one more thanks to Boomer Freesen, ... not only for dancing up a storm, ... but helping me load up my Bar and display at the end of the day. He's a good buddy.

Remember ... to visit these supporters of the Second Amendment Day.
