Southern Louisiana ... a Cajun Trip

My wife and I during our New Orleans trip, took a day to travel on south just to see what's out there. We saw some interesting sites, met some interesting people, and enjoyed some good down home cooking.

We drove south and as we continued, ...
water and birds seemed to take over the landscape.
Lots of birds ...
It seemed every tree had birds in them.
Or on th ground ...
And in the water ...
Even a little racoon was out searching for a crawlfish.
I got out to look for some crawlfish too ... at the end of the line.

I did find some ... at this great little restaurant on highway 23.

The owner is Therese Creppel and she was a great host. She came out and spoke with us and she was truly delightful. ( and very pretty ) If you are traveling down HWY 23 you must stop and say HI to Therese. Let her know TheLodgeman.com sent ya ... and the Seafood Platter would be my pick. To learn more about Lil G's and Therese ... go to www.lilgsrestaurant.com

The sun went down and we drove back to
downtown New Orleans for another adventure.
