Doug Reich's Coyote Craziness !!!
Coyote calling / Hunting is one of the toughest hunting you'll try. Many folks struggle with calling coyotes into range. I know I've done it many times, ... but, ... for every successful outing, I went through 10 failed set-ups. Now, and not to brag, ... I've also taken several doubles when out hunting those wary dogs. So, ... when a guy can take a TRIPLE , ... that's RIGHT a TRIPLE on coyotes, ... holy cow, ... that's one awesome feat.
First, ... calling in one coyote is great, ... calling in a pair doubles the fun, ... being able to shoot one and then the other is tough. It's extremely hard. Try times three !!! I can't believe what Doug did. Maybe Doug will step up and be next month's .... MAN of the Month ?
I'm unclear of the exact story, ... as Doug Reich is the brother of Outlaw, ... and Rick told me the story second hand. According to Rick, ... Doug's first shot dropped one, ... "Lights Outs" ... then he pulled down on another and connected. But, ... it was down, and kicking about. So, the third one, ... came back to see what all the kicking was about and BAM .... number three was on the ground. Rick said he asked Doug, ... "how many shots did you shoot?" Which Doug calmly replied, ... "Well, three coyotes, three shots". Can you believe it ?
I didn't know John Deere caps and yellow gloves was the Predator Callers standard equipment? All I can say, ... Doug sure can shoot. Also, ... I know Doug has taken many nice Whitetails over the years. Maybe, ... we can talk him into setting them out on a barn wall for a nice photo?
