Missouri Magic

Or,  as my wife calls Missouri ...

"God's Country"

My brother Jim invited me to hunt a place where he said we'd see
waterfalls, caves, and beauty all around. Well, going to a place like that,
who cares if you harvest a bird ? Just enjoying mother nature with friends and family is success enough. I jumped at the invite and off we went.

Well, ... we had to check in at the front gate ... before
entering this world of beauty my brother spoke of ... so I
sat quietly waiting to see what Jim was bragging about.
And ... out came the staff person at the gate. Oh, ... now I see the beauty.
Yep, ... Miss Stephanie was checking us in and I saw the beauty alright.
This trip was shaping up quickly.

Here are some amazing sights I saw while there ( besides Stephanie )
that I thought that I would share.

And ... here's some more photos that I took of ...
random events, places, or people.

The hills were way steeper than I expected ... and chasing
down a gobbling bird proved to be tough. Just locating one
was tough, but then closing the gap was quite difficult.
I look up at the hill and think ... WOW ... it's as bad going down as up.
But, ... with luck ... and a long shooting 10 ga., ... I managed to
drop the hammer on a nice Tom on the final day of the season.
I look straight up from where I was and think ....
WOW ... do I appreciate hunting on the flat ground.
I must thank Kampp Outdoor Products ... and their calls have yet to fail me.
