Hello all ... the LODGEMAN has returned from Wyoming enjoying
a great week of Hunting, Fun, and spending quality time with my Beautiful Wife .... Anne. We had a great time, met more fine
people, and safely made it there and back. I just couldn't ask for
a better trip.

So, .... here's the photos .... enjoy.
Our cabin was rustic ... but certainly fitting for a western experience.
Game was around us all the time.
This antelope was grazing and didn't care that I'd crawled with in 50 yards. Make sure to wear thick jeans as those catus are hard to pull out !!!
This doe thought she heard me crawling , ... but didn't know where I was.
This cabin wasn't bad, but with the temps getting down to 30 degrees ... we decided to stay with windows, doors, and a roof that didn't leak.
Crawling through the sage hills is tough, but at 100 yards ... and too many eyes were watching,  I stopped to snap this shot of a peaceful herd with a dandy buck overlooking his flock. His horns are tall, but they don't curl
back too far.

Sometimes ... it's not the game you have to watch out for ... Horses can
spook deer or antelope off as well.
OK , ... after searching the sage hills and looking at ... really 100's and 100's
of antelope ... this one was tall ... curled back, ... and had pretty good mass.
It reached 14" and that is trophy enough for me.
2008 Wyoming Mule Deer
If anyone is looking at a Western Hunt ... whether private land or Public ...
give me a call, drop me a note. I'll help how ever I can. The Wyoming draw deadline is March 15, 2009 for Antelope and Deer. If the price does not change ... a Deer tag costs $328 and the Antelope tag is $286. I can set you
up with an outfitter or set you up on a "Do-it-yourself" public land hunt.
