What a Week ...
The Lodge Team members ...
Ed Hendricks and son Jeremiah have a
great week ... that made for a special hunt.

First, ... Ed took this nice buck early in the week.

Now, ... Ed is an Official Scorer for both Boone and Crocket and Pope and Young. He knew this was a younger buck when he decided to shoot. If you look close, Ed hunts with traditional equipment. That buck is a trophy anyone shooting a recurve would be proud of. With compound bows getting faster and faster, and arrows advancement ... Ed proves it's not needed if your hunting skills are there. That's why Ed is a Lodge Team member.
You ain't a hunter if you don't use a recurve. ( includes me )

That's just a nice buck. Great job Ed !

Now, not to be out done, ... Ed's son Jeremiah harvested a real nice
double brow tine buck. The best part, ... it was just a few days later.
And, ... young Jeremiah comes in at the age of 11.

That's right ... 11 year old Jeremiah Hendricks takes
his first deer with a bow. Great job Jeremiah. I'm sure he's
on his way to passing up the old man in a few years.

Now, ... still in the same week ... Ed while deer hunting ... spots
this dark coyote. He puts one arrow in ... yes, using his recurve. The
coyote runs off and Ed lets it lay up. He then stalks up and delivers
another shot ... the fatal blow. That is one black coyote.
I don't know about you ... but that's a hellofa week for anybody. Father and son both shoot dandy bucks ... Ed watches his son Jeremiah shoot his FIRST archery deer at age 11 ... and to shoot a coyote with a recurve is damn good, ... but shooting such a odd color phase, ... that's awesome.
He'll be glad to hear from you.
