 with WILD Bob

as told by Bob Kompel

Bob has been a good friend for several years now. We met by chance and instantly hit it off. I could tell he had a true love for the outdoors. Sometimes, it's just a feeling ... but I think most people have a feeling when they meet someone for the first time. Well, ... Bob was one of those guys. I just knew he was one interesting fellow.

Bob tells a story with a certain flare that makes me smile and holds my attention wanting more. His approach to life and willingness to experience new adventures makes him the perfect "story teller". Check back often as Wild Bob will be contributing with short stories from his adventures.

How to Ruin Valentines Day ... by Bob Kompel

( photos above explain it all ... but please read his story )

To Kill a Porcupine ...

This is a great story that will bring a smile while reading. The photos below just adds to the humor, effort and the great lengths that Bob is willing to go ... to enjoy life.

As Bob embarks on his quest, ... on the back porch, ...

15 below is the temperature.

The frozen landscape doesn't look too inviting to me ?

And where would a Porcupine be ? And why ?

Even the hornets have vacated the unbearable conditions.

Well, ... low and behold ...

in the willow bottoms we have found the elusive critter.

Success is had with temperatures at near 20 below

and wind chills reaching 40 below.

Wild Bob ... the man, the myth, ... the Legend!

If you enjoyed Bob's story ... drop him a quick note.
