The 2009 / 2010
BIG BUCK CONTEST
The Tale of the Tape
The Winner is ...

Brian McNeff from Brown County, Illinois.

I called in "The Masters" for this contest. Little did I know when I kicked off the fun, ... actually what would happen. I'm honored that so many guys come to me for their taxidermy needs. I thank each and every one. Seriously, THANK YOU, past, present and future hunters for selecting me to mount your trophy.

So, ... on with the story, ... above Team Lodge's very own Ed Hendricks agreed to measure the trophies for the Big Buck Contest. Thanks Ed !

Here, ... a massive North East Missouri deer is being scored by Ed.

Ed scores the Winning rack in this photo. You can't see the 23

points very clear here ... but check the next photo out.

While Ed measures, ... he brought his "assistant" along to help hold

and record the many measurements it would take to figure out the

winner. Thanks goes out to Ed's assistant Tom Grover as well.

I try to educate myself on the rules too. I want to make sure I

know how to measure "un-officially" of course.

Here is the official score sheet of the Brian McNeff's 202 4/8 non-typical winner. Jesse Job's monster came in very ... THAT's very close,  as it scored 201 1/8. So, if you're interested, on this table, there are over 400 inches with only two deer. Talk about a contest ... these two deer were both truly awesome and unbelievable examples of great trophy class deer that are produced in the Mid-West. Keep checking back ... as I'll have more on the other great trophies that came in this year.

A special thanks goes out to Ed Hendrick and his assistant Tom

Grover for helping me out. I do appreciate your help, time, and friendship.

If you have any Scoring questions ...

please drop Ed a note at ...
