I've always said, ... time spent with kids is time well spent. Well, I got the chance to fish with my son's "little brother". I'm glad I did. Danny sure was a great kid, ... knew how to fish, ... and we had a great evening even if, ... it was 94 degrees. Thanks Casey for bringing Mr. Dano. ( and Danny's Mom, ... you should be very proud of him, ... which I'm sure you are )
Here, ... Danny shows off his first catch of the day, while Trey looks on.
And just then Mason's poles starts to bend. Trey seeing it going down, alerts his brother and saves the pole from being yanked from Mason's hands.
Kayla gives the "Outlaw Salute" ... wanting Erik to see that she is supporting the BC Outlaw Gang and .... is still waiting for him to call.
And she too pulls in a nice Blue Gill.
Lodge-Girl Kayla ... not only catches fish ... she says she can clean them faster than Erik too !
Man it was hot ... but we had fun. I'm sporting my Team Lodge Soft Ball Tee shirt below. They gave me the best number I could have hoped for ... 1422.
Also above ... Danny and Trey are holding more fish !!!
Notice the life jackets are off Mason and Trey. They were so hot, and their parents were not there, ... so I figured I could jump in before they sank ?
Seriously, ... my eyes were on them the whole time. Except for when I was looking across the pond, or watching for deer, geese, or ducks, ... really.
Kayla gives a funny face to this fish ... and wishes Erik would have came to help her out ?
There she's got it ... maybe she doesn't need Erik after all ?
As the sun was setting ... Danny continued to pull in the fish.
We sure had a fun evening and the smiles say it all. Hot or not, it was great seeing these youngsters enjoy pulling fish out, ... one after another. Thanks Casey and Kayla for helping out. It made the evening that much better !
