David Heiken from Northern Illinois  ...
came down to Outlaw Country ...

David's grandfather ... Ronnie Arnold set up a hog for his grandson and they had a great time. After spotting a hog run the hill top out of range, ... Ronnie and David held tight in the ground blind hoping another would cross the pasture searching for food. It didn't take long and they spotted another hog working along the creek edge. David placed the cross hairs on the boar and touched off his shot. The hog went down, ... but got up and took off for cover. After a search in the brush pile and a follow up shot, ... his hog lay dead in the creek completely submerged. What a hunt we had.
Here, 17 year old David rests after he and I pulled this hog from the creek. I sure was glad David was there to help. I don't think I could have done it without him.
Ronnie Arnold steps in the photo with his Grandson. Ronnie sure was proud of David. ( and he certainly should be )
We got the hog up on dry ground and put the sun to our backs. Here, you can see it's a dark red boar. We guessed it to go 150 pounds or so. It's a nice young boar and will taste real good.
Remember, ... if you want to hunt a hog just drop either Outlaw or myself a note and will set you up. David is glad he came !
