Fishing at PORT "A" ...
Port Aransas, Texas is a great place to visit. I'm sure the beach life is great in season, ... but I was there for a little fishing. Charlie Kahn, who hunted antelope last fall with me, ... runs a fishing charter business. So, Capt. Charlie Kahn took me on a full day of fun in the sun.
I also found out that I like the land a little more than the sea. Wow, ... those waves just kept coming and rocked me back and forth. After trying to land a shark ... while I was not enjoying the ride, ... we headed back and went out for some bay fishing and had a great time. Thanks Charlie for fun day on the water !

Port Aransas !
Here's the starting point .... DEEP SEA Headquarters .... and if you are going there ... you better contact Capt. Charlie Kahn .... 210 - 632 - 5298 and tell him I sent you.
We followed the shrimp boat around for several hours trying to hook up with a shark, ... but I really was not in any shape to continue ... maybe I should not have ate that breakfast wrap or the fried food the night before ?
Capt. Charlie also said, ... with the many fronts that came through during the weeks before, the fishing has changed as the wind would not stop. The day we fished was the best day, ... but it still had pretty good waves crashing in. I'll take a cold windy day in Wyoming over rocking and rolling on the open water .... next time ... I'll take some motion drugs!
Here is Justin Kahn ... he too went antelope hunting last fall and took one of the biggest Antelope of the group. He connected on a 400 plus yard shot. Now, ... I ain't one to brag, ... but this young man was great help, ... and he'll be outdoing everyone very soon.
So, .... we took off for Sheep Head, Redfish and what ever we could catch.
This one was real nice .... can't wait for the fish fry !
A pair of Sheep Head .... these fish are fun to catch ... they fight hard and if you find the spot, they are pretty easy to catch.
This .... is a fish that looks like a bullhead catfish ... but Charlie said it's a Mother-in-Law fish ? I'll let you all figure that one out.
Justin worked hard all day ... really, this young man will be passing up everyone very soon.
We even caught a Sting Ray .... it wasn't very big ... but we kept away from the tail all the same.
We caught many more Redfish .... and sheephead .... some catfish looking fish that Charlie called "Hardheads" ... and one snapper. All in all, ... it was a fun day and I enjoy good company from Charlie and Justin. Thanks guys for my day on the water.
