Yea ... I even grabbed one for the camera !
And ... the weekend did include some team hauling in boat
loads of fish. The Team from Michigan in the final heat of the tournament brought in 186 fish ... just 2 fish short of the overall best. They took second place ... to the local Team from Havana who held on to first by an ever so slim margain.

the final two hour heat on Saturday evening.

186 for the Michigan Team. Their 188 from the evening before help up.
I'm not sure how many camera crews were present, ... but talk of
ESPN, The Animal Planet, CCN, and the New York Times buzzed
both days. Here the Winning Captain tells his story for one of them.

This Guy gave the best speech ever. Really, what great sports they were.
This Team fished all four heats ... and piled up the fish. They worked hard.
Another Redneck fishing tournament and more Asian Carp removed from the Illinois River. A big thank you goes out to all the teams that fished and the fine folks of Bath Illinois for doing their part to control the waters.
