New Years Eve in TEXAS ...
Since the weather was doing it's best to foil my hunting plans, ... Anne and I jumped in the car and took off for Texas. You see, ... with it being in the single digits, and snowing, or sheeting, ... or just pouring down raining, it just sucked. ( sucked is OK to say, right ? ) Anyway, ... My wife's good friend Staci lives in McKinney, TX. And, ... my newest Team Member is Staci's Hubby Kenny Ray Hammons and his three sons, ... so ... off we went for 75 degree temps and a little R&R!
We arrived at Kenny and Staci to a beautiful blue sky and temps at 70 degrees. That in itself was the best Christmas present I could have hoped for.
Nothing tastes better than Staci's fresh coffee from her Wind mill water supply. Miss Staci had coffee smelling up the ranch each morning waking me up. I think I'm spoiled now.
Since Staci was so nice fixing coffee each morning, ... along with freshly FRIED donuts, ... and sausage, eggs and biscuits too, ... I helped out feeding the cattle.
I was doing a good job feeding them, ... more kept showing up.
Staci's prize bull, ... "Thunder" .... even came up from the Dallas "North Forty Pasture". Staci hand fed this Bull ever since he was first born.
You must admit, ... Staci's Bull is awesome. That's one nice long horn. I tried
to get a close up of his tag, ... but if flipped over, unable to read. Anyway, ... it reads ... I "heart" Staci. Even Anne was touched by that.
OK, ... possibly several facts may have been embellished a tad. Maybe even a few "white" lies. But, ... one thing for sure, ... Anne and I did go to Texas, ...
and Staci WAS a fantastic host.
