Ya know, ... sometimes just going out without a gun is fun. It's cold too, ... but fun. The other day, as the sun was setting, ... I laid out in a snowy fence row hoping some deer would work close to my area. It was 11 degrees out, ... and the deer didn't get as close as I wanted. But, ... I did see deer and my camera does reach out several 100 yards.
The sun was setting ... and I thought ... isn't that a nice photo.
And as the sun dropped and so too did the temps ...the deer started feeding.
This buck appeared on the dry land dam. He's not too bad.
I think he saw me move ... but he wasn't too scared.
I know it's not the best photo ... but that's a pretty good buck.
As darkness was coming down ... I set my camera to night mode ... these deer are about 300 yards away, with night fast approaching. Two in these group were nice bucks as well. ( both on the left )
But away they went.
My last buck was a narrow rack, but tall one. He too was nearly 200 yards
away ... and night falling fast. I'm glad to see so many bucks are still out there. Next year should be good !
